Wouldn't it be nice if we could share all the "secrets" with each other??? Where the best parking is, easiest places to get a wheelchair into? Whether or not the bathroom will fit a chair in, let alone a helper?
Let's do this with a system.
1st: Visit our Facebook page! "Ramp Up To Fun - A Handicapped Accessibility Travel Guide".
2nd: Post your visit/recommendation on the page. You don't need to be handicapped or have family/friend that is handicapped...we just need opinions. If you notice its the best place in town to eat and they have great parking...let us know! Or if they don't.
3rd: I will add the new place to our site here.
You can also email me directly at: RampUpToFun@gmail.com
So here's what would be good to start with (add more if you feel it would help):
1. City, State
2. Type of place (ie, Restaurant, Airport, Shopping, Entertainment, etc.)
3. Name of place visited
4. Rating...lets do a 5 star scale....0 being worst and 5 best.
5. Why you like/don't like this place for accessibility. We want to know how the parking is. Is it close, convenient, allow a wheelchair ramp, or non-existent. How is it to get inside the building/shop? What about when you are inside, is there enough room to move around with a wheelchair or walker, etc? For people that are extra sensitive to loud places...how does the place rate? Services offered for disabled people? Bathrooms - size, accessibility? Convenience, convenience, convenience! Would you go back again?
6. Suggestions for making someone's visit there easier.
7. Add a photo if you have one! (of the place itself, or the problem, or you having a great time there).
